Mesa Harvest Festival
October 8, 2017
Harvest Festival is held in Mesa in early October each year. Offerings of corn planted this year are taken to the sacred lake where the rain gathers from Grandmother Ocean and the mountain, Leon Peak where the rains and snows announce their arrival by lightening and thunder. The harvest and the life-giving waters are celebrated by everyone, in a Festival that is facilitated by the local Mesa Weather Workers, Deanna Jenne’ and Gary Weidner.
Bring offerings of a bouquet of flowers, a basket of fruit and a loaf of sweet and loaf of salty bread for the offerings. Wear good walking shoes, women in skirts.
