At the bank of the Colorado River, Riverbend Park in Palisade, the Sacred Fire Communities in the Grand Valley area will host the Sacred Fire Foundation Voices of Wisdom Program. Elders Dianna WhiteDove Uqualla, Havasupai, and Vernon Masayesva, Hopi will be welcomed and they will share their ancestral wisdom about the sacredness of water and the sanctity of the Colorado Plateau. This is a very special program, to take place on Saturday, May 25. Participants return for a Sacred Fire circle on Sunday evening at the Grand Valley Hearth to help assimilate the teachings and experiences with the elders. This fire will be hosted and facilitated by Firekeepers Deanna Jenné and Gary Weidner.
