Dear Lovers of the Mesa,

The Mesa Life Project community invites you to remember this magnificent Land and the Sacred Story of it’s creation in a sacred dance. ​We have been gifted the Creation Story of this Land to enact​ and tell e​ach​ Spring.

A Sacred Story is an avenue for remembering who we are and where we have come from. The nature of ceremony and ritual is to be a catalyst to remember. The Story’s yearly enactment is our reminder that the spirits of the land have generously made space for all the creatures, including humans, to live here. The Story teaches us about the Time Before Time when the land is formed and the sky takes its place above the mountain, and the animals have a place to live .

This is a participatory ceremony, where we wear regalia to make the story of creation come alive. We have costumes or you may bring your own. Children are welcome to participate.
